How Death May Affect a Court Order

General Information If a Participant or Payee Dies

  • If a participant dies before the TSP Court Order Center has received an order, the order may still be submitted for the Court Order review process.
  • If a participant dies after the the TSP Court Order Center receives an order, we'll continue with the Court Order review process.
  • If a payee dies before an order is approved, we won't continue with the Court Order review process.
