What's a Retirement Benefits or Child Support Court Order?

A Retirement Benefits or Child Support Court Order is a court order, judgment, or decree issued under a state's domestic relations law. It recognizes the right of the following individuals (referred to as payees) to receive all or part of the participant's TSP benefit:

  • Spouse
  • Former spouse
  • Child
  • Child Support Agency
  • Other dependent of participant

An order must be submitted and qualified to become a RBCO or CSCO.
